I think the "Random" means Randomly annoying and not Randomly matched.

About 100+ RA games continual (faction farming, btw :P so newb chars can unlock any skill they like) Whenever an asian team would appear i'd think "heh...monk, mesmer, warrior, etc..."

It never 'clicked' though. They all seemed 'balanced', whereas my team would frequently be like, 3 ele's and me, or 3 rangers and me, whatever...not gonna get far like that, especially when for some ODD reason people think trapping in RA is worthwhile :S

I was going to write this exact thread with the same title...

If I dont play my monk I get frustrated at never getting one, if I do play it I get frustrated at always being put with another monk. It's hardly random at all.

Ive gotten a full guild team 5 times in a row once. (loss + re-enter)

And there were only 4 of us entering.

Even if you discount the simultaneous entry trick, there are a disproportionate number of monks on the asian sides. I think its because they just like playing monks

I think asians just like to play practical builds. You will hardly meet any fanciful builds in their teams like smiting monks, touchy rangers or healing warriors :P

And imo, they tend to be better players. I'm not sure if their teams random or not, but the teamates seem to be more aware of one another. For example, their monk will always maneuver within wards if theres an ele in their team. Or their ranger will crippling shot the warrior chasing their monk.

I'd like to add that quite a few of the players on the american servers are either half-assed or don't know about the minor details of the game (walls blocking arrows, range, skill info). When you have just one 'noob', the match suddenly becomes 3v4 and gg.

I've noticed this as well...I'm on warrior, we get some weird assortment of professions. I get tired of no heals, so i go on my monk. And 3/4 teams had 2+ monks...such a pain

This thread may be old, but the idea is still around.

I have been playing a lot of PvP recently due to the event. I have been playing a Dervish. Most of my teams will contain a Dervish or a Paragon (primary or secondary). I was just today almost continuously put up against teams containing 1-3 monks, while my team had none.

Sure someone will say this is just the fact that computers can't be ALWAYS random. But that is why I think the randomizer needs an update. Make it so that primary monks are automatically scattered. Make it so that there can NEVER be more than 2 monks in a random team. There is no reason a team would need 3 monks (especially all boon prots).
